Police have submitted a charge sheet to a court in Cox’s Bazar against 29 people in a case filed for the murder of Rohingya leader Mohib Ullah.
Of the accused, 15 are now in jail and the rest are absconding. All of them are members of the Rohingya community.
The charge sheet was submitted to the court on Monday noon, said Cox’s Bazar Additional Police Superintendent Md Rafiqul Islam.
On September 29 last year, Mohib Ullah was shot dead by unidentified
assailants in the office of Arakan Rohingya Society for Peace and Human Rights at Ukhia Rohingya camp in Cox’s Bazar. He was the president of the organization.
On September 30, Mohib’s younger brother Habibullah filed a murder case with Ukhiya Police Station.
