Senior leader of Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) said the government doesn’t want the unity to be formed in fear of losing power. It doesn’t want terrorism to be suppressed. He made the remark on Sunday at a discussion arranged by Voice of Democracy, a pro-BNP platform, at the Jatiya Press Club.‘The country’s people are saying the government has failed to tackle militancy and terror attacks. Even, the Prime Minister’s son after Gulshan attack said their government has failed to check the terror attack. You (govt) should quit immediately as you have failed to run the country and also to tackle terrorism,’ the BNP leader said.Mentioning that people have accepted their party chief’s call for the unity, he said their party will form the national unity with people to eliminate terrorism and militancy from the country.Hannan Shah said though the Prime Minister should have called for the national unity she has failed to do so.
