Police seized around 92,616 liters of edible oil from four warehouses in Puthia upazila of Rajshahi district on Tuesday afternoon.
On a tip-off, the district police conducted drives at the warehouses at Baneshwar Bazar and seized the oil.
Md Ifte Khair Alam, the additional superintendent of Rajshahi police, confirmed the matter to Jago News.

Police said the soyabean oil and palm oil was seized from the shops of Bikash Saha, Entaz Haji, Shailen Pal, Rajib Saha, and Fazlur Rahman respectively and the traders were detained.
The five traders were being questioned and the validity of their papers checked, ASP Ifte Khair said, adding that necessary legal action would be taken against them later.
