Newly appointed Ambassador of Saudi Arabia Abdullah HM Almutairi on Wednesday said over 80,000 Hajj visas have been issued for Bangladeshi pilgrims so far.The Saudi envoy said this when he met Foreign Minister AH Mahmood Ali at his ministry.Almutairi assured the Bangladesh Foreign Minister that he would be working for further strengthening the existing bilateral relations and expanding other cooperation between Bangladesh and Saudi Arabia.During the meeting, they discussed the exchange of high-level visits between the two countries.The Foreign Minister welcomed the new Ambassador to Bangladesh, and assured him of all-out cooperation in the discharge of his duties as the Saudi envoy here.Almutairi arrived here on July 26 as Ambassador–designate of Saudi Arabia to Bangladesh and presented credentials on August 19.Prior to his present assignment, he was the Director of Follow-up Section in the Saudi Foreign Ministry.
