Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) Kazi Habibul Awal has said we all have to try to hold a nice, acceptable and fair election.
“We are not holding a meaningless dialogue,” the CEC said this after a meeting with the journalists from electronic media at Nirbachan Bhaban in the capital’s Agargaon on Monday.
During his welcome speech in the meeting, CEC Awal said that the EC wants a participatory election to overcome lack of public trust.
The dialogue began at 11am.
Four other EC members and EC secretary also participated in the dialogue.
