Special award to M Miraz Hossain for one of the top-selling books

At this year's Ekushey Book Fair, young writer M Miraz Hossain has received a special award from the publishing house Nowroz Kitabistan for his book "Apon Nama". On Tuesday, March 15, Manzur Khan Chowdhury, the head of the publishing house, presented the crest to him at an honors ceremony at the Book Fair premises.

On 19th February, at Ekushey Book Fair 2022, the second book "Apon Nama" by the new writer M Miraz Hossain was published. This autobiographical book has been widely acclaimed by readers since its publication. The book sold about 5,000 copies in the first 7 days of publication. This book has been ranked among the top 10 best-selling books of this year's fair. The 6th edition is currently in print.

It has touched the milestone of the best-selling book in the history of Nowroz Kitabistan, a 78 year-old publication. The publishing house has declared the book as the best-selling book. On Tuesday, March 15, the crest was presented to author M Miraz Hossain at an honors ceremony. Other prominent writers, publishers and readers were also present in the program.

In this regard, the head of the organization said, “Apan Nama is the best-selling book for our publication so far. We have received a lot of praise for this book from various readers. We have done quite well commercially with this book at this year's fair. We are delighted to be able to present the award to the author on behalf of this publication."

Writer M Miraz Hossain is happy to receive the award. Expressing gratitude to the publishers and readers, he said, "I never thought this book would be so popular at the time of writing or after its publication. I wrote this book about the memorable events of my own life. This is my second book. As a novice writer, the interest and love of the readers is absolute for me. I want to write more life-affirming writings in the future."

M Miraz Hossain is a busy businessman in his career. He is working as a director in a reputed organization in Bangladesh. He is also the deputy project director of UN’s Youth Vision and a Director of Lions Club International. Last year, his first book, Hayay Veshe Hajar Maile, was published.
