Pran-RFL Group, country’s one of the largest conglomerates, received the 2nd HSBC Business Excellence Awards for its role in promoting Bangladesh and contributing to the sustainable growth of the economy during the challenging time brought on by the coronavirus pandemic.
The Hong Kong and Shanghai Banking Corporation (HSBC), honored the PRAN-RFL Group through a program held at the capital's Radisson Blu Dhaka Water Garden Hotel, in association with the Commerce Ministry of Bangladesh and the British High Commission in Dhaka on Sunday evening. PRAN-RFL Group received the award in exporting-Nontraditional and Emerging Sectors.
Tipu Munshi, Commerce Minister handed over the crest to Uzma Chowdhury, Director (Corporate Finance) at PRAN-RFL Group.
Robert Chatterton Dickson, the British High Commissioner, Md Jashim Uddin, President, Bangladesh Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FBCCI) and Amanda Murphy, Head of Commercial Banking at HSBC South and Southeast Asia were also present at the program.
Uzma Chowdhury said, “The main goal of our group is to create employment through business activities and helps our country’s economic growth. PRAN is earning a lot of foreign exchange through exporting the crops produced by the farmers and is working to boost our economy. The Group is exporting its products to 145 countries regularly. Such kinds of prestigious award will further inspire us to move forward.”
