The government recorded 1,298 more coronavirus cases and five deaths in the last 24 hours.
With this, the country's total infections and fatalities rose to 19,38,135 and 28,995 respectively.
The Directorate General of Health Services said this in a press release on Wednesday.
In the past day, 23,092 samples were collected and 23,274 tested.
During the period, 8,072 COVID-19 patients recovered, taking the total recovery to 17,79,687.
