President M Abdul Hamid and Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina on Sunday expressed their profound shock and sorrow at the death of India's legendary singer Lata Mangeshkar.
In separate messages of condolence, they both sought the peace of her departed soul and expressed sympathy to the bereaved family.
Lata Mangeshkar passed away in Mumbai on Sunday at the age of 92, reported The Indian Express.
The versatile singer, christened the Nightingale of India, had lent her voice to thousands of songs in 36 languages in a career spanning almost eight decades.
