5.7-magnitude quake hits 45 km SW of Ashkasham, Afghanistan - USGS

An earthquake with a magnitude of 5.7 jolted 45 km SW of Ashkasham, Afghanistan at 04:16:01 GMT on Saturday, the U.S. Geological Survey said.

The epicenter, with a depth of 209.05 km, was initially determined to be at 36.445 degrees north latitude and 71.1166 degrees east longitude, reports Xinhua News Agency.
