The government has decided to begin the Amar Ekushey Book Fair-2022 from February 15.
Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina is expected to virtually inaugurate the fair at 3 pm on the day.
Bangla Academy Secretary AHM Lokman confirmed the matter to Jago News on Thursday.
But it has not yet been finalized how long will the fair continue, he said.
Earlier on February 1, the autonomous institution proposed to the government to hold the fair from February 15 to March 17 following the coronavirus health guidelines.
The Amar Ekushey Book Fair-22 was scheduled to be begun on February 1 but later, it was postponed for two weeks due to an upward trend in the virus cases.
