Eminent novelist Selina Hossain has been appointed as the new president of Bangla Academy for next three years.
The Ministry of Public Administration issued a gazette notification in this regard.
The post fell vacant after Bangla Academy President Prof Dr Rafiqul Islam died on November 30 last year.
The educationist researcher and writer was the winner of the Independence Award, and Ekushey Padak.
