Two officials have been withdrawn over the death of 11 zebras at Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Safari Park in Gazipur.
They are the park's acting officer and assistant forest conservator Tabibur Rahman, and veterinary officer Dr Hatem Sazzad Md Zulkarnain. They were, later, attached to Forest Department, Dhaka.
The disclosure was made in a handout of the Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change on Monday.
The handout said the two officials were withdrawn and transferred for the sake of fair investigation over the death of the animals.
Earlier on Saturday, Safari Park project director Md Zahidul Kabir said a total of 11 zebras died from January 2 to 29.
