The concerned ministry’s probe committee today visits Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Safari Park at Sripur in Gazipur to look into the reason of 11 Zebras death in a month, reports BSS.
“The Safari Park authority already has tried to communicate with the specialist physicians outside the country as per the concerned ministry’s directives aiming to prevent such death of these wild animals,” said an official release here.
The authority already has sent all the detailed symptoms of the diseases and the diagnostic reports to South Africa from where these animals had been brought to Bangladesh, said the release.
The members of the medical board, constituted earlier to provide emergency treatment to protect the death of Zebra and find out the reason of such sickness, held a meeting at the park from January 25 to January 29.
The Safari park authority takes initiatives as per the ten-point recommendations by the expert committee on January 25, the release added.
A total of 11 Zebras out of 31 died in a month.
