Police in a drive detained a Buddhist monk following an attack on another monk from Ruposi para of Lama upazila in Bandarban on Thursday morning.The detainee is Mongain Aung Rakhaine, 45, son of Alamong Rakhaine of Kang Para in Cox’s Bazar. Officer-in-charge of Cox’s Bazar sadar police station Md. Aslam Hosen said, Mongain fled away after attacking on Open Dita Aung Rakhaine, a monk of Auggamedha Kang. Tipped off, police arrested him and brought to police station. Officer-in-charge (investigation) of Cox’s Bazar sadar police station Bakhtiar Uddin Chowdhury said, it was not clear why Mongain attacked on Opena Dita. Mongin was interrogated in this connection, he added.It is mentionable that, Mongain hacked Open Dita on Wednesday morning.
