Three workers were killed and four others injured when the Barendra Express train hit an auto-rickshaw at Daroani area in Nilphamari on Wednesday morning.
Identities of the deceased could not be known immediately.
Amir Ali, Deputy Assistant Director of Fire Service and Civil Defence, confirmed the matter to Jago News.
He said, one people died on the spot and two others died on the way to the hospital. Four injured people were admitted to Nilphamari General Hospital and Rangpur Medical College Hospital.
According to the fire service, some workers of Uttara EPZ were going to their working place on an auto-rickshaw. The incident took place around 7:30am when they was crossing the level crossing at Daroani area.
