A group of students of Shahjalal University and Science and Technology (SUST) continued their agitation programme for the sixth consecutive day on Tuesday demanding resignation of the Vice Chancellor Farid Uddin Ahmed.
The students started their agitation at Goalchattar since 12pm.
An agitated student named Samiul Hasan Shafin said they will continue their agitation until the resignation of the VC.
He also said they started collecting mass signatures from students since Monday. They will send a letter with the signatures to President M Abdul Hamid to sack the VC.
On Sunday, the students confined the VC demanding three-point demand including the removal of Sirajunnesa Chowdhury Hall Provost and its Assistant Provosts. In the evening of the day, police locked into a clash with the students when they went to rescue the VC. Later, the students announced new agitation programme demanding the removal of the VC.
