Three people, including a woman and her daughter, were killed as a pickup van rammed into a CNG-run auto-rickshaw in Madhupur upazila of Tangail district on Friday morning.
Among the deceased, the woman and her daughter hailed from Dewanganj upazila of Jamalpur while the rest from Sreebardi upazila of Sherpur but their detailed identitities could not be known immediately.
Madhupur Police Station officer in-charge Md Tarik Kamal a pickup van rammed into a CNG-run auto-rickshaw near Rupali Filling Station adjacent to Madhupur Bus Stand around 7 am, leaving three people dead on the spot.
