Professor Robaet Ferdous, University of Dhaka, Bangladesh, has recently visited Mianz International College (MI College), Maldives, on the invitation of Mr Ahmed Mottaki, the founder chairman of the board of college.
Prof Robaet Ferdous is a well-known scholar and media personality of Bangladesh. He is working as professor at the Department of Mass Communication & Journalism, University of Dhaka.
Mr Mony Murugadhas, admin director of the college, received the professor with warm greetings at the college premises. He informed the professor about the noble visions of the college. Ms Maneesha Prabuddhi, member of senior management, handed over a souvenir to him. Music teacher Mr Shafiqul Islam and a foreign student of Bangladeshi origin Mr Shahbaz Ahmed was also present during his visit.
Mianz International college, popularly known as MI College, is named after the family of Mr Ahmed Mottaki. He belongs to Mian bari, Shahbazpur, Sarail, Brahmanbaria, Bangladesh. The college was established in 2006 and now it has 17 branches in different islands of Maldives.
In another visit at the airport, Mr Ahmed Muttaki met Professor Golam Rahman, Editor, ‘Ajker Patrika, which is one of the popular national dailies in Bangladesh. He is the retired professor of Dhaka University Mass Communication & Journalism Department and former chief information commissioner of Bangladesh. Mr Muttaki offered him to be associated with their education programme to prepare the course curriculum in Media, Journalism and Communication Department to be introduced soon.
