A court in Chattogram on Tuesday sentenced six people to life in prison and acquitted 15 others in a Bangladesh Chhatra League activist murder case.
The lifers are Rafique, Khorshed, Aiyub, Imon, Dipu, and Zahir while the acquitted are Nurul Boshor Bipul, Akbar, Tarek, Faizullah, Alauddin, Pintu, Robin, Haider, Zabed, Zidan, Hasan, Ziauddin, Sazzad, Ilyas, and Kakan.
Chattogram Divisional Speedy Trial Tribunal Judge AKM Mozammel Haque handed down the verdict, lawyer for the state advocate Aiyub Khan told Jago News.
Sources in the court said BCL activist Nurul Alam Razu was called out of home in Hamzarbag area under Panchlaish Police Station on the night of November 22, 2014 and killed.
