A case filed against State Minister for LGRD and Cooperatives M Mashiur Rahman Ranga’s brother in allegation for sexual abuse of a female central leader of Bangladesh Chhatra League (BCL) on Tuesday night.Officer-in charge of Rangpur Sadar Police Station ABM Jahidul Islam said quoting witness that Mohiul Ahmed Mohir, 50, brother of State Minister for LGRD and Cooperatives M Mashiur Rahman Ranga beat up Sumna Akter Lili, 27, daughter of Ayub Ali, hailing from Taraganj upazila of the district and Joint Secretary of BCL central committee and her brothers over a trifling matter at Rangpur Bus Stand area on Tuesday around 4pm.After spreading the news of abusing Lili activists and leaders Awami League and its wings gathered in front of Sadar Police Station and shouted for arresting Mohir.Later, Lili filed a case under Women & Children Repression Prevention Act 2000.
