Bangladesh Coast Guard in a drive seized 200 kg venison and rescued two deer from Badurtala area under Patharghata upazila of the district early this morning.On a tip-off, a Coast Guard team conducted the drive on Bishkhali river of the area at about 3 am and seized the venison. They also rescued the two deer after searching a trawler, said Lt Syed Abdur Rauf, commander of Patharghata station of Coast Guard.The poachers escaped from the trawler sensing the presence of the coastguards, the commander said.The deer and venison recovered from the trawler handed over to the local forest department.
