President M Abdul Hamid and Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina on Wednesday congratulated all concerned of the Bangladesh Under-19 Women Football Team for their victory over India in SAFF U-19 Women's Championship.
In separate congratulatory messages, they both greeted all the players, coach, and officials of the team as well as Bangladesh Football Federation (BFF) officials concerned for achieving the victory over India, reports BSS.
Bangladesh won 1-0 goal in the final match against India that kicked off at 6 pm at Bir Shrestha Shaheed Shipahi Mostafa Kamal Stadium in capital Dhaka's Kamalapur this evening.
The President said this victory attained a reputation for the country football worldwide.
The head of the state hoped that this trend of victory would continue in days to come.
Sheikh Hasina also expressed her hope that the winning spree of the Bangladesh Team would continue in future.
