Former BNP lawmaker Chowdhury Akmal Ibne Yousuf has passed away. He was 75.
He breathed his last at his own residence in Dhaka at 1am on Sunday.
BNP chairperson’s press wing member Shayrul Kabir Khan confirmed the death to Jago News.
He left behind his wife, two daughters and many well-wishers to mourn his death.
Akmal will be buried at his family graveyard in Faridpur. Earlier, his namaz-e-janaza will be held there after Asr prayer.
However, BNP secretary general Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir expressed his deep shock at the death of Akmal.
