Former State Minister for Information and Broadcasting Dr Murad Hassan has returned to Dhaka after being failed to enter Canada and United Arab Emirates.
He landed at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport around 4:55pm on Sunday. Several sources of the airport confirmed his return to Jago News.
Dr Murad will first be taken to the immigration office and the concerned officials will interrogate him there.
Although rumour had it that Dr Murad will be arriving in the country on an Emirates Airlines flight at 8am, but he didn’t board the flight.
Dr Murad, who resigned on December 7 as the State Minister for Information and Broadcasting amid severe backlash for his misogynistic remarks, left the country on Friday.
