3 get death for killing child in Madaripur

A court has sentenced three people to death and acquitted one in a case filed over the murder of child Aduri Akter of Sendia village in Madaripur’s Rajoir.

Madaripur District and Sessions Judge Nitai Chandra Saha passed the order on Monday morning.

Madaripur Public Prosecutor Md Siddikur Rahman Sing confirmed the matter to Jago News.  

The death-row convicts are Rajib Hawlader, 41, son of Rafiq Hawlader of Paschim Swarmangal village, Rimon Hossain alias Imon Gachi, 32, son of Muhit Gachi of Kodalia Bajitpur village and Shafiqul Islam Molla, 31, son of Rafiqul Islam Molla of Pirojpur district. 

The person who got acquittal in the case is Selim Hawlader, 41.  

According to the case statement, Aduri Akter, 5, daughter of Tuku Sarder, went missing after she went to Sendia Jame Mosque for studying Arabic on 20 September in 2015.

On September 22, Aduri’s father filed a murder case against six named people and 4-5 unnamed people with Rajoir Police Station. 

The Imam of the mosque Shafiqul Islam confessed to the killing after he was arrested by police. Later, police recovered Aduri’s body packed in a sack beside the mosque.
