Professor Nikhil Ranjan Dhar, chief of Industrial and Production Engineering (IPE) department of Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET), has been removed from his post in his alleged involvement with question paper leak of a government bank exam.
A five-member investigation committee has also been formed in this regard. The committee has been asked to submit a report within five working days.
Confirming the matter to Jago News, BUET Vice Chancellor Dr Satya Prosad Majumder, said Nikhil Ranjan has been removed from the post after different news reports were published accusing him in leaking question paper.
“Legal action will be taken against him if the allegations are found to be true,” he said.
According to the source, Nikhil’s name came to the limelight after the question paper of a government bank exam was leaked. The examination was recently held under the supervision of Ahsanullah University of Engineering and Technology where Nikhil was a consultant.
