BNP’s mass hunger strike underway

The mass hunger strike enforced by BNP is underway in front of its central office at Naya Paltan in the capital demanding the release of the party chairperson Khaleda Zia from jail and her better treatment abroad.   

The strike began at 9am and continue till 4pm on Saturday.

A large number of police members were deployed in the area on the occasion of the programme. 

The party secretary general Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir gave welcome speech at the program. 

He said the fascist government is not giving the release of Khaleda Zia from jail. 

He urged the party leaders and activists to observe the hunger strike peacefully. 

BNP standing committee members Goyeshwar Chandra Roy, Dr Abdul Moeen Khan, Nazrul Islam Khan, senior joint secretary general Ruhul Kabir Rizvi, Mahila Dal president Afroza Abbas, Juba Dal president Saiful Islam, Sweschasebak Dal general secretary Abdul Kader Bhuiyan were present among others in the programme.
