Security beefed up in city’s elite class hotels

Securities in elite class hotels in the city have been beefed up following the deadly terrorist attacks at Gulshan Holey Artisan Bakery and Sholakia Eidgah.Special security steps have been taken to the hotels in city’s Gulshan and Banani as most of the foreigners used to stay in these areas’ hotels.Every service of the hotel has been suspended due to securities measures, said Abdul Khalek, an Ansar member, who worked at Radisson Blu Dhaka Water Garden in the city as a security person.In the meantime, authorities of Lakeshore Hotel & Apartments suspended their hotel’s service to avoid awkward situation and they hung a notice at the hotel gate in this regard.Earlier, on July 2, where gunman killed 22 people including 17 foreigners and two police officials and at Sholakia Eidgah on July 7, where thousands people gathered to perform their Eid prayer, where four people, including two policemen, Jharna Bhoumik one Abir the suspected assailant were killed and 15 others injured.
