RMCH records zero fatality in Covid-19 unit

Rajshahi Medical College Hospital (RMCH) recorded zero fatality in its Covid-19 unit again in the last 24 hours till 6am today after six consecutive days.

RMCH Director Brigadier General Shamim Yazdani told journalists the hospital recorded zero deaths on November 11 after four consecutive days, reports BSS. 

The hospital also recorded zero death on November 7 after another on October 31. However, the previous day's fatality figure was one. Earlier, the number of casualties was 100 in October, 167 in September, 340 in August, 566 in July and 405 in June in the Covid unit of RMCH, sources said.

Meanwhile, five more patients were admitted to the Covid-19 unit during the last 24 hours, taking the number of admitted patients to 33, including six testing positive for Covid-19, at present.

Two other patients returned home after being cured during the same time. On the other hand, six more patients tested positive for Covid-19 after testing 324 samples in Rajshahi's two laboratories on Tuesday, showing a 1.85 percent positivity rate against 0.55 percent on Monday.
