Three people were killed as a road roller rammed into a battery-run auto-rickshaw in Gafargaon upazila of Mymensingh district on Thursday afternoon.
Deceased Nayeb Ali, 75, Amir Uddin, 55, and his brither Kafil Uddin, 45, hailed from Gararon village in Sreepur upazila of Gazipur district.
The incident took place on Aha Ali Tek Road under Pagla Police Station around 2 pm, sub-inspector of the police station Akter Hossain confirmed to Jago News.
Police and witnesses said a road roller hit a battery-run auto-rickshaw while heading towards Pagla area from Gazipur's Sreepur, leaving a passenger of the latter vehicle dead on the spot and two others critically injured.
Out of the injured, one died on the way to hospital and another succumbed to his injuries around 3:30 pm.
