Three workers were killed as a truck ran over them in Syedpur upazila of Nilphamari district on Wednesday evening.
The deceased were identified as Rabiul Islam, 50, Zahangir, 53, and Alam Hossain, 48.
A goods-laden truck ran over three workers of Nilphamari district bus-minibus workers union in Syedpur Bus Stand area as its driver lost control over steering, leaving two dead on the spot and another injured, said the union's general secretary Altaf Hossain.
The injured, later, died on the way to hospital, he added.
Syedpur Police Station officer in-charge Abul Hasnat Khan told Jago News that they seized the truck but its driver and his assistant managed to flee.
