A young man has been accused of raping a seventh grader in Sadar upazila of Khulna district.
The victim's family lodged a rape case against Chayan with Sadar Police Station on Monday morning.
Elder sister of the schoolgirl said they filed the case against Chayan after they had come to know that he physically and sexually assaulted her sister confining her in an abandoned building in a amrket.
"Chayan beated us in front of his family when we had gone to their home to rescue my sister. Later, we in association with police admitted her to Khulna Medical College Hospital," she alleged.
Sadar Police Station officer in-charge Hasan Al Mamun said a case has been filed over the rape incident, and police started drive to arrest the accused.
