The coronavirus vaccination of the school students aged between 12 to 17 years has begun in the capital.
Health Minister Zahid Maleque and Education Minister Dr Dipu Moni jointly inaugurated the vaccination programme at Motijheel Ideal School and College on Monday morning.
According to the source, the students will get the Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine. Twenty-five booths will be at every school for vaccination. Eight schools have primarily been identified as a cluster through Secondary and Higher Secondary Board. 2,500 to 3000 vaccines will be given at every school daily.
The schools are HURDCO International School, South Point International School, Chittagong Grammar School, Ideal School, Mirpur Commerce School and College, Dhanmondi Kakoli High School, South Bridge School and Mirpur Scholastica School.
