Six out of twenty-two public holidays will fall on the weekends next year.
The number of public holidays was approved in a cabinet meeting chaired by Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina today virtually.
In 2022, fourteen days will be general holidays and six of them coincided with public holidays. Apart from, 8 days will be government executive order holidays. In all, a total of 22 days of the holiday has been approved in the cabinet meeting.
Cabinet Secretary Khandker Anwarul Islam said this at a press briefing held at the Secretariat.
