2 killed, 30 injured in AL factional clash in Narsingdi

Two people were killed and thirty others injured in a clash between two factions of Awami League (AL) at Kacharikanda village in Raipura upazila of Narsingdi early Thursday.

The deceased are Sadir Miah, 22, son of Marfat Ali and Hiron, 35, son of Asad Miah. 

Eleven of the injured were identified as Romzan, 18, Mokles, 22, Ahid Miah, 43, Joj Miah, 14, Shamsunnahar, 34, Dana Miah, 60, Alamin Miah, 20, Najir, 21, Nazma, 24, Danis Miah, 24, Md Haque Miah, 50. 

Police said there had been a long dispute between former union parishad member Shah Alam and Choto Shah Alam over establishing supremacy in the village. The supporters of them locked in a clash early today. At one stage of the clash, Sadir and Hiron were killed on the spot and thirty other people injured. The injured people were admitted to the different hospitals in Narsingdi.

Md Azizur Rahman, Officer-in-charge of Raipura Police Station, confirmed the matter to Jago News.
