BNP, police clash at Nayapaltan

A clash was occurred between the leaders and activists of BNP and police members at Nayapaltan area in the capital on Tuesday.

Some BNP men were injured and some others detained by police from the spot. 

According to the source, BNP organized a harmony procession protesting the communal attacks in different parts of the country. They brought the procession from their central party office around 11am and the clash ensued when the procession reached Kakrail intersection.

In this connection, Abul Hasan, Assistant Commissioner (Motijheel zone) of Dhaka Metropolitan Police, said BNP men attacked on them after ending their procession. In reply, police fired tear shells. Some people were detained and taken them to Paltan Police Station.
