One person died and two others were burnt in a blast at a rented house at Bayezid Bostami thana area in Chattogram around 10:30am on Sunday.
Identities of them could not be known immediately.
The injured people were admitted to Chattogram Medical College Hospital (CMCH).
Farid Ahmed, Deputy Assistant Director of Chattogram Fire Service, confirmed the matter to Jago News.
He said, three to four men used to live in the house. After being informed, we rushed to the spot and sent three burnt people to the CMCH. One of them was declared dead by the doctor there.
However, he could not say the reason behind the blast.
“They are looking into the matter,” Farid added.
In this connection, Alauddin Talukder, Assistant Sub Inspector of CMCH’s police outpost, said three people were taken to the hospital from Bayezid Bostami thana and one of them was declared dead by the doctor. The rest two are receiving treatment at the hospital.
