realme makes it to top 6 global smartphone brands for first time

Youth-favorite brand realme has recently added another feather to its cap as they have snatched away place among the top 6 smartphone brands globally. According to the latest market report by Counterpoint Research, realme has become a Top 6 smartphone vendor in the global rankings, a press release said.

realme, the world’s fastest growing smartphone brand, has taken the sixth spot with 15 million shipments and 135.1 percent YoY growth in Q2 2021. realme has achieved this mark within a difference of just three years.   

“In the past three years, we are like a newborn calf making little of a tiger as well as a real go-getter”, said Founder and CEO Sky Li in his open letter, noting that the young team with an average age of under 29 has encountered a wide range of unknown difficulties but remained determined and passionate to bring extraordinary products to young trendsetters worldwide. 

Over the last few months, realme has been disrupting the smartphone industry globally with many milestones. Last month, realme became the fastest brand ever to ship 100 million smartphones, according to data by Strategy Analytics 2021 Q2. Within a very few years, realme has expanded to over 61 markets worldwide. Among these markets, realme is among top 5 brands in at least 18 markets. On the other hand, realme has also become the top smartphone maker in the Bangladeshi market. According to Canalys, realme is now the top 1 smartphone maker in Bangladesh.   

All these have been possible owing to the bold moves taken by realme. Inspired by the spirit ‘Dare to Leap’, realme has followed strategies like tapping into globalization prospects, listening to consumer demands and integrating advanced technologies in beautifully designed and user-friendly products. realme phones equipped with trendsetting innovations have attracted young and tech-savvy users very quickly. 

For those young users, youth-centric brand realme will soon be launching the flagship killer phone from its GT series– in the Bangladeshi market. In the meantime, realme will also bring two new phones from its youth-friendly C series phones and other top-notch AIoT products to enhance smartphone experience of the users. 

Right now, realme is developing a diverse portfolio of 5G products with an aim to offer 100 million 5G phones in the next three years to the young users. Besides affordable 5G phones, realme will also bring more AIoT products to young consumers as realme has entered AIoT 2.0 development phase with its advanced ‘1+5+T’ strategy.
