A teenage girl has filed a case against a police constable in Mymensingh accusing him of raping her.
Taking the case into cognizance, the district Women and Children Repression Prevention Tribunal Judge Md Rasizul Islam on Wednesday asked the district Police Bureau of Investigation to investigate the accusation.
The plaintiff's lawyer advocate Motiur Rahman Faisal confirmed the matter to Jago News.
According to the case statement, the accused, Saddam Hossain, 24, a resident of the same year where the victim resides, had been made an indecent proposal to her promising to marry her.
On the same promise, he raped her on May 21 and violated her again on July 2.
Later, she informed her family about the matter as the accused started dilly-dallying to marry her.
To know about this, constable Saddam was phoned but could not be reached.
