A court in Pirojpur has placed Ehsan group chairman Ragib Ahsan and his three brothers on a seven-day remand in a case filed over misappropriating Tk 1700 crore.
Judge M Mohiuddin of Senior Judicial Magistrate Court of Pirojpur passed the order on Monday noon.
On September 9, RAB conducted a drive at Topkhana road area in the capital and arrested Ehsan group chairman and his associate Md Abul Bashar Khan.
Earlier in the day, Pirojpur police arrested Mawlana Mahmudul Hasan and Md Khairul Bashar in this regard.
On September 5, some people said at a press conference held at National Press Club that Ehsan group embezzled Tk 1700 crore.
