Two of the accused in the killing of Mahmuda Akter Mitu, wife of police superintendent Babul Akter, were killed in a ‘gunfight’ with police at Rangunia of Chittagon on Tuesday.The ‘gunfight’ took place at Thandachari near Ranirhat of Rangunia. Three police personnel were also injured in the gunfight that took place at around 3:00am.M Kamruzzman, assistant commissioner of Chittagong detective branch, confirmed the incident.Assailants hacked and shot Mitu to death at GEC intersection near her residence in the early hours of June 5.
