Naval police recovered the body of a teenage boy from the Karnaphuli river in Patharghata upazila of Chattogram district on Saturday afternoon.
Deceased Faiaz Nur, 21, was the son of Md Nurul Haque, a resident of Shershah Colony under Bayazid Bostami Police Station in Chattogram city.
Sadarghat Naval Police Station officer in-charge ABM Mizanur Rahman told Jago News that locals spotted the floating body of a teenage boy on the water in Fishery Ghat area and informed the police.
Later, police went to the spot and retrieved the body, he said.
The OC also said police assume that Faiaz Nur might have killed himself as he declared to commit suicide on social media a few days ago.
