Short story writer Bulbul Chowdhury, who had been suffered from cancer, has passed away.
He breathed his last around 6 pm on Saturday at his home in the capital of Dhaka, the writer's close one Photographer Kamrul Mithun confirmed to Jago News.
He received treatment at Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University Hospital under Oncology dept Chairman Prof Dr Sarwar Alam after he was diagnosed with cancer six months ago.
Born in Gazipur on August 16, 1948, Bulbul Chowdhury received Bangla Academy award, and Ekushey Padak for his contribution to Bengali language and literature.
