Education Minister Dipu Moni on Thursday afternoon said the secondary and higher secondary educational institutions of the country will remain shut till September 11.
She came up with the disclosure after a meeting with the Ministry of Primary and Mass Education, and the National Technical Advisory Committee on COVID-19.
The government ordered all educational institutions to close on March 17 last year following an outbreak of the novel coronavirus in the country.
Since then, the shutdown has been extended on several occasions, and most recently it has been prolonged to June 30.
