Thirteen people died at the Corona unit of Mymensingh Medical College and Hospital (MMCH) in the last 24 hours. Three of them died from the disease and the rest ten died with its symptoms.
The deceased are Aisha Sultana Soma, 50, Manik Miah, 60, Murshida Begum, 60, Lal Miah, 65, Kamrunnahar, 55, Nazmun Nahar, 55, Anisuzzaman, 37, Sahera Khatun, 50, Abul Kashem, 65, Arun Biswas, 45, Rokeya Begum, 75, Roich Miah, 70 and Abdul Khalek, 60.
Dr Mohiuddin Khan Mun, Focal Person of MMCH’s Corona unit, confirmed the deaths to Jago News on Sunday morning.
He said, 236 Corona patients are receiving treatments at the hospital, 25 people were newly admitted to the hospital and 39 were discharged.
However, Mymensingh district Civil Surgeon Dr Mohammad Nazrul Islam said 114 tested positive for the virus in the last 24 hours.
