More than hundred unidentified leaders and activists of BNP have been sued in three case filed over the vandalism and the clash with cops at Chandrima Udyan in the capital.
Jane Alam Munshi, officer-in-charge of Sher-e-Bangla Nagar Police Station, confirmed the matter on Wednesday.
“Police filed a case on Tuesday night and the authorities of the metro rail project filed two other cases today,” he said.
He also said, Dhaka Metropolitan Police’s Tejgaon division Deputy Commissioner and some other officials including me were injured in the incident. BNP's forty leaders and activists were shown arrested in the three cases. Apart from more than one hundred unidentified BNP men were also sued.
To be noted, the newly formed convening committees of BNP’s Dhaka city north and south units went to place wreaths at the grave of the party’s founder Ziaur Rahman at Chandrima Udyan on Tuesday. Later, they locked into a clash with police and 20 people were injured.
