A court in Dhaka on Thursday evening placed Dhallywood actress Pori Moni on a four-day remand in a case filed under the Narcotics Control Act.
Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Mamunur Rashid passed the order after police produced her before the court, seeking seven days to interrogate her.
The Rapid Action Battalion lodged the case against the actress and her 'associate' Ashraful Islam Dipu with Banani Police Station this afternoon.
Earlier on Wednesday, a team of Intelligence Unit of the elite force raided the home of Pori Moni at Banani in the capital and detained her.
The law enforcers said they also recovered a huge amount of narcotics from the residence during the drive.
At that time, RAB's Legal and Media Wing Director Khandaker Al Moin said they conducted the raid based on some specific allegations against her.
The detention came days after the law enforcers had arrested two models - Faria Mahbub Piasha and Mou Akter - along with alcohol in the capital.
In mid-June, actress Pori Moni made headlines accusing a businessman of taking a rape and murder attempt on her at Dhaka Boat Club in Savar on the outskirt of Dhaka.
Amid this, she faced allegations of vandalisms at a few clubs.
