Gazette issued extending lockdown till August 10

The ongoing lockdown has been extended till August 10 from today’s midnight to stop current spread of COVID-19.

The Cabinet Division issued the gazette notification in this regard on Thursday.

The gazette said all factories and industries will be out of purview of the restrictions.

Domestic flights will operate, maintaining health rules, it read.

Earlier on Tuesday, the decision of extending lockdown was taken at an inter-ministerial meeting with Liberation War Minister AKM Mozammel Haque in the chair.

To be noted, the government announced 14-day fresh lockdown from July 23 following an alarming surge in coronavirus cases across the country.
