Twenty-one people died at the Corona unit of Mymensingh Medical College and Hospital (MMCH) in the last 24 hours. Six of them died from the disease and the rest fifteen died with its symptoms.
The deceased are Rahima, 65, Ilias Ali, 70, Abdul Kuddus, 70, Hazi Mohiuddin, 68, Asma, 70, Abdur Sattar, 40, Bazed Ali, 75, Rahima Khatun, 40, Sokurjan, 60, Fajila Khatun, 60, Anwara Begum, 65, Nazrul, 70, Amena, 60, Rokoniddin, 40, Rehna Khatun, 75, Jalal, 60, Arif, 16, Hazrat Ali, 70, Helena, 50, Nayan Miah, 40 and Moslem Uddin, 70.
Dr Mohiuddin Khan Mun, Focal Person of MMCH’s Corona unit, confirmed the deaths to Jago News on Thursday.
He said, 580 are currently receiving treatment from at the hospital. In the last 24 hours, 86 new patients were admitted and 68 others discharged from the hospital.
